Computational Biologist - Summer Interns

Dow AgroSciences seeks 7 summer interns in the fields of computational
biology or bioinformatics to assist in the analyses of biological
datasets. These positions are located in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
The successful candidates will work closely with scientists from Dow
AgroSciences’ Computational Biology Department. Key job
responsibilities will include extensive development of software to
implement robust data analyses’ pipelines and to integrate, analyze
and interpret ‘omics’ datasets.
Experience in programming (Perl and R) and basic sequence analyses
tools (e.g BioPerl, command line BLAST) is preferred. Experience in
next generation sequence analyses or microarray data analyses is also
preferred. Strong communication skills are essential along with an
ability to collaborate effectively with both laboratory scientists.

Applicants should have or be pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in
bioinformatics, computational biology, computer sciences, statistics,
mathematics, engineering or a closely related field.
